Berita Pers Chairman and CEO of Golden Agri-Resources receives special Asean Entrepreneurial Excellence honour from EY

In conjunction with the expected formation of the ASEAN Economic Community by the end of 2015, professional services firm, EY is conferring a special award – the EY Asean Entrepreneurial Excellence award – to Mr. Franky Oesman Widjaja, Chairman and CEO of Golden Agri-Resources Ltd.

EY said that as one of the largest palm oil plantation groups in the world, Golden Agri-Resources provides opportunities for employment and trade across Singapore, Indonesia and the rest of the region. Additionally, the organization’s corporate responsibility efforts in education, infrastructure and job creation have benefited many communities in the region.

On receipt of the recognition, Mr. Widjaja shared his personal mantra: “In business, I live by these four words – 稳, 准, 滚, 狠, which means stability, accuracy, execution and resoluteness, respectively. For example, when we decide on a business model, we should do so steadily, without rush and with proper planning. When executing, we should do it correctly and firmly with full force.”

The EY Asean Entrepreneurial Excellence award is an honorary award that is presented on board the EY Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) platform. The EY EOY Awards Gala will be held on 14 October 2015 in Singapore
