Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is aware of the Global Witness Report concerning Golden Veroleum Liberia (GVL). Both our Forest Conservation Policy (FCP) and the Social and Community Engagement Policy (SCEP) apply to all plantations that GAR owns, manages or invests in regardless of the stake. The same policies apply to GVL which is managed separately and whom we invest in through the Verdant Fund, a private equity fund.

We are confident that GVL will ensure the robust implementation of these policies. GAR is committed to driving sustainability in our industry by adopting best practices and standards, managing the environment responsibly and empowering the communities where we operate.
