Jakarta, 18 September 2025 – Nearly 100 palm oil seed customers came together recently to exchange knowledge, explore research-driven solutions, and strengthen their efforts to boost productivity and embrace sustainable agricultural practices.
The event hosted by Dami Mas, the seed division of Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food, brought together plantation professionals, researchers, and agronomists united by a common goals: to raise yields without expanding land use.
With global palm oil production showing signs of stagnation, boosting productivity has become a top priority for Indonesia, the world’s largest producer. Indonesia’s government has set a national target to almost double productivity to 7 tons per hectare, making innovation and collaboration in the field essential.
“For both large plantations and smallholder farmers, the path forward lies in replanting with better seed varieties and adopting best agronomic practices,” said Septianus Harianja, VP of Agronomy at Sinar Mas Agribusiness and Food.
Suryanto Bun, CEO of Dami Mas, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to support farmers, companies and business partners through this crucial stage of cultivation.
“The presence of many new and longstanding customers is testament to the spirit of collaboration and innovation that is advancing Indonesia’s palm oil industry. We’re pleased to support these customers to implement effective, efficient, and sustainable replanting practices,” he said.
In addition to knowledge sharing, the event celebrated the customers who had put these insights and expertise into practice in their own operations. Dami Mas honoured customers in three award categories: Continuous Commitment Partner, Innovation Partnership and Top Volume Growth.
By blending scientific insight with real-world application, the gathering reaffirmed Dami Mas’s role as a trusted partner in the palm oil industry. From empowering growers with high-quality seeds and agronomic expertise to unlocking better yields, better resilience, and a more sustainable future.
