PT SMART Tbk Reports Outstanding Performance in 2024

Jakarta, 16 June 2025 – PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Tbk (“SMART” or “the Company”) delivered strong performance in 2024, driven by record sales volumes of 5.8 million tonnes and favourable selling prices. Net sales increased by 18% to IDR 79 trillion, while net profit rose by 39% to nearly IDR 1.3 trillion. These results were presented at the Company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM), held today at Plaza Sinar Mas Land, Jakarta.

Commenting on the Company’s performance in the 2024 fiscal year, Vice President Director and Corporate Secretary, Jimmy Pramono, stated: “We are grateful that SMART once again achieved solid financial growth in 2024, underpinned by our competitive strengths. Our strategic priorities remain focused on enhancing efficiency, increasing productivity, and maximising value creation through advanced technologies and sustainable practices across our operations.”

SMART’s strategy includes a comprehensive plantation rejuvenation programme, which integrates agricultural innovation, gradual mechanisation, digital transformation, and robust research and development. Additionally, the Company continues to prioritise customer satisfaction and market expansion by leveraging its integrated processing capabilities and diverse product portfolio. These initiatives are aligned with SMART’s sustainability commitments, focusing on traceability and capacity building, climate change mitigation, and the empowerment of local communities.

During the AGM, SMART’s shareholders approved the Annual Report and the Supervisory Report from the Company’s Board of Commissioners for the 2024 fiscal year.

Shareholders also approved the distribution of a cash dividend of IDR 135 per share, totalling approximately IDR 388 billion, equivalent to around 30% of the Company’s 2024 net profit. After accounting for the interim dividend of IDR 105 per share distributed on 20 November 2024, the remaining final dividend to be distributed amounts to IDR 30 per share, or approximately IDR 86 billion.

During the same event, the AGM approved the appointment of the new members of the Company’s Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners for the 2025–2030 term, with the following composition:
