High-quality, certified, and labeled superior seeds are the key to achieving high productivity.

Maximising productivity in oil palm cultivation starts with selecting high-quality, certified seeds. Given that oil palm trees can produce for up to 25 years, investing in high-quality seeds is a crucial long-term strategy for farmers seeking to optimise both efficiency and returns throughout the plant’s lifecycle. Dami Mas Seeds is committed to enhancing oil palm productivity by providing a diverse range of superior seed varieties.

“We prioritise high Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) production to ensure optimal yields and maximum crude palm oil (CPO) output. Our DxP and DxP Intermediate Ganoderma Resistant (IGR) seed varieties are specially developed for improved resistance to Ganoderma,” explains Saistyo Agi Hendiwiyarto, Sales & Marketing Manager at PT Dami Mas Sejahtera.

Since 2018, Dami Mas seeds have been distributed to corporations, farmer cooperatives, and independent farmers. Customers can purchase Dami Mas seeds directly from official channels. It’s essential for farmers to be cautious about cheap, counterfeit seeds that sometimes flood the market. Although these seeds may look similar, their quality is significantly different. Genuine Dami Mas DxP seeds are priced at IDR 9,500 per seed, while the DxP IGR seeds are priced at IDR 16,000 per seed.

To ensure you’re purchasing authentic Dami Mas seeds and avoid the pitfalls of counterfeit products, consider these important identification tips:

  • Laser Marking: Authentic Dami Mas seeds feature a high-quality laser marking that becomes visible when exposed to water. The “DMSE” inscription appears translucent with a distinct neon yellow color. The marking is clear, legible, and well-defined.
  • Packaging: Official Dami Mas seed packaging includes a barcode printed on the sealed plastic, featuring the Dami Mas logo. This barcode is integrated with the company’s database, allowing for efficient tracking of the seeds.
  • Certification: Genuine Dami Mas seeds come with an official certificate signed by Dami Mas, confirming their authenticity.
  • Crossbreeding Information: The packaging includes detailed information about the seed’s crossbreeding process, along with the corresponding crossbreeding code for transparency.
  • Re-Examination Certificate: Authentic seeds are accompanied by a Re-Examination Certificate issued by the Representative Provincial Plantation Office, ensuring their quality.

To avoid purchasing counterfeit seeds, it’s best to buy directly from official distributors via the Dami Mas website or authorised online sales agents. Dami Mas does not sell seeds through other marketplaces or via COD (cash-on-delivery) methods. Counterfeit seeds are often sold at significantly lower prices, usually in poorly labelled packaging with unclear markings, where the “DMSE” inscription is thick and indistinct.

“We strongly encourage farmers to purchase seeds exclusively from authorised distributors of PT Dami Mas Sejahtera,” Agi adds. “Seeds purchased from unauthorised sources can result in poor harvests. Given the substantial investment required for planting, wasting funds on subpar results is never worthwhile. To support farmers in achieving the best harvests, Dami Mas also offers comprehensive post-sales support, including expert guidance on seedling development.”
